Degrees:

‘82, B.A. Art, College of Mount St. Joseph

Biography:

After earning my Associate Degree from the Mount I started working at Lawrenceburg Public Library in the summer of 1981. I wasn't making much money and after a discussion with the library director, I decided I needed an advanced degree to sit in her chair. I left to enlist in the Army in November 1984. I was 25 when I got out and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I lived in Germany for 18 months, and Petersburg, Virginia for another year.

I studied computers and business management at Thomas More College and it was nothing like the Mount.  I spent a year there, married my husband Jim in 1989 and we had our first daughter, Claire, who is now a senior at the Mount. I completed my Bachelor's in Studio Art at Northern Kentucky University and my Masters at University of Kentucky in August 2010.  I have been the Director of the Ohio County Public Library since April 2008. My life has always been about serving other people, giving back matters to me.
