The Center for Ethical Leadership encourages interaction between local business and community organizations and the campus community. The Center promotes faculty scholarship and provides support to enhance the integration of ethical leadership into curricular and co-curricular programs that shape a distinctively Mount student life experience and advance student career readiness.

Focus Areas

Common Good Thread - At the heart of a Mount education lies the liberal arts and sciences core curriculum, grounded in the Mount’s Mission. See how the core curriculum provides a strong and practical foundation that enables students to lead meaningful personal, professional, and civic lives.

Leadership & Civic Engagement Minor - Learn how this program option integrates student understanding of leadership practices and civic involvement with experiential, service-based learning to lead active, effective and meaningful personal, professional, and civic lives.

Ethics Bowl - Intercollegiate teams argue and defend their moral evaluation of complex, modern, social, business, and political issues.

Leadership Unwrapped - In conjunction with The Office of Diversity and Inclusion, students can participate in two valuable leadership and professional development opportunities during lunch times: Leadership Pathways - An opportunity for students to meet others and develop their leadership capacity for campus involvement and career success, and Bridging Differences - A method to consider different perspectives and to create healthy communication across differences.

Duffey Conway Ethical Leadership Series - This annual event leads the Center’s efforts to promote collaborative conversation on leadership, ethics, and civic engagement serving business and community members of the Greater Cincinnati region.
